Hello, you are very welcome to the The IT Tralee Students’ Union!!!!

We are made up of three full time officers and six part time officers, who will serve a term of 1 year. All officers have been elected by the students of the Institute. This means that we have gone through many of the same experiences you all will go through so you should feel comfortable to come to us with any query at all. And hopefully we can make your experience here as enjoyable as possible.

  • Ensure the safety of all students.

  • We act as effective communication between the students, the Institute, the press and the local community of Tralee of which the students are a big part of.

IT Tralee is an amazing Institute with a wide range of Clubs and Societies to choose from. We organize loads of events throughout the year both on and off campus. So please make the most of your time here and become involved with all aspects of college life. You are in I.T Tralee in a very exciting time. Last year a new Library Building opened in the North Campus which can facilitate a much larger number of students. And also has many more facilities which all students can and should avail of. One of our more popular facilities is the créche based in North Campus. This is exclusive to the students of I.T.Tralee and their children.

A bit of advice that I would give to all students is to join a club or society. By becoming a member you will meet new people you may not have been given the opportunity to meet otherwise. You don’t need any past experience to join either a club and society and they are the ideal way to try something new or just develop your skills further.

There is so much going on around college, such as nights out, matches etc. But the main reason that you’re here is for your Education. And don’t lose sight of that. Make sure you get on top of things straight away. Keep all your notes organized and try and do revision at some stage each week. This will avoid you panicking when your are coming close to final exams.

All year we’ll be running different events and campaigns and they will all be advertised on this site. So make sure you know what’s going on by logging onto www.ittraleesu.ie to check out all the latest events around I.T Tralee
